The Sanctuary gets an award!

The Millington Shield
The Millington Shield

Watchet Town Council recognised the work of The Sanctuary in our local community on Tues 21st April by awarding our volunteers the Millington Shield - given each year to a local community organisation "to highlight the most valuable contribution they have made to the town".

The award letter went on to say,

The Sanctuary is the ‘heart of Watchet’ and provides such a fantastic service to the Community; it is a place of friendship and safety, and an invaluable asset to the town. The Town Council feel it is fitting that everyone involved should be recognised for their energy and commitment they give to Watchet.

We'd like to add our voice of thanks to all our volunteers who work extremely hard to serve our local community in so many ways. We're delighted Watchet Town Council have decided to recognise what we do in this way and thank them for their continued support in serving our community.
