On Thurs 9th April 2015, 140 young people from Spring Harvest festival in Minehead came across to Watchet to help make a difference in our community.

They gardened at our local school, picked up litter on our play fields, helped to run a Family Craft Afternoon in The Sanctuary and washed cars... for free!

The point was to demonstrate in practical ways that the message of the Christian faith actually affects our outlook on life, the things we think are important, how we act and what we do. It was also a lot of fun!

Click here to see some photos of what they got up to or take a look at this short video below from this year's Social Action Day...

The Christians Together in Watchet & Williton group who helped organise the day alongside the Youth Team from Spring Harvest would like to say a HUGE 'Thank You' to all the young people and their leaders who came to Watchet and got stuck in... your work is very much appreciated!

We'd also like to thank West Somerset Railway for their support of this event and for getting the young people to Watchet and back to Minehead in style(!) and to Watchet Town Council for their help and support.
